About · Karthikeyan Srinivasan

Technology, marketing, and purpose — working together.

I'm the Founder of Anextera Technologies and Director of New India Social Welfare Foundation, based in Chennai. Here's why I built both, and why neither feels like a side project.

Founder Story

How an engineer ended up running a marketing agency.

It didn't start with marketing. It started with engineering — the habit of breaking a problem down until the actual cause is visible, instead of treating the symptom. Trading came next, and it taught a harder lesson: being right on average means nothing if you can't survive being wrong in the short term. Photography ran alongside both, and it sharpened something less technical — an eye for what actually makes someone stop and pay attention, which turns out to matter more in marketing than any framework does.

Digital marketing was where those three things collided. SEO rewarded the engineer's instinct to find root causes instead of quick fixes. Paid media rewarded the trader's comfort with risk and iteration. And creative decisions kept coming back to that photographer's eye for attention. Marketing analytics gave all of it a scoreboard — a way to know, not guess, whether a decision was working. AI arrived later, not as a trend to chase, but as a way to move faster through the parts of the work that were mechanical, so more time could go into the parts that needed judgment.

Anextera Technologies exists because most businesses are still making marketing decisions on instinct, when the data to decide properly is usually sitting right there, unused. It's built around a simple premise: strategy backed by data outperforms strategy backed by assumptions, almost every time.

New India Social Welfare Foundation exists for a related reason. Growing a business teaches you how to allocate limited resources for the most impact — and that skill doesn't stop mattering just because the goal shifts from revenue to education or healthcare. NISWF isn't a separate career running alongside Anextera. It's the same operating discipline, pointed at a different kind of return.

How I Think

A few principles that don't change.

Business outcomes matter more than vanity metrics

Impressions and reach look good in a slide. Revenue, retention, and cost per acquisition are what actually tell you if something worked.

Technology should simplify work

If a tool adds a step instead of removing one, it's not helping. Good technology disappears into the workflow rather than becoming another thing to manage.

Data should guide decisions

Not as a formality after the decision's already been made, but as the thing that shapes it in the first place — even when the data disagrees with the instinct.

AI should enhance people, not replace them

Automation earns its place by freeing up judgment for the decisions that actually need it — not by making the decisions itself.

Long-term partnerships beat short-term wins

A campaign that spikes and fades is easy. A relationship that compounds quarter over quarter is the harder, better goal.

Marketing should create measurable business growth

Not attention for its own sake. If a strategy can't be traced back to the business getting stronger, it's not finished yet.

Community Impact

Why NISWF exists.

Business growth teaches you how to make limited resources go further. NISWF applies that same discipline to education, healthcare, and community development — not as a marketing gesture, but as ongoing, unglamorous work. In June 2026, that meant a modest educational support initiative — around ₹50,000 — for underserved students. Small, recurring efforts like this matter more to NISWF than any single headline number.

Looking Ahead

What this is building toward.

The near-term goal is straightforward: help more businesses grow using strategy that's backed by data instead of guesswork, and keep building products that solve problems worth solving. The longer view is bigger: building one of India's leading technology companies, creating AI products with genuine global relevance, and becoming the kind of thought leader and keynote speaker who's earned the platform rather than claimed it.

None of that replaces the work at NISWF — if anything, growing the business side just means more capacity for the social impact side to keep compounding too.
